ARTMAN: THE SUMMONING

The sixth Artman Performance Party and the the first time we have had two Artman English groups performing at an Artman party!!

For the term preceding Artman The Summoning, two Artman English groups had been busy creating.  Our Tuesday group had decided to continue developing Feel The Harmony (remember that it was originally created in 30 hours!), refining the script and discovering new dimensions to their characters, with a view to enjoying the next phase of  the process, now that the show had been created.

The show reached new heights and went to Budapest, to be performed to a full house at the Green Cat Theatre, along with performances from our Hungarian friends. What wonderful hospitality we received! Thank you, Budapest fest!

Meanwhile our second group developed Two Executioners And a Doctor, a historical comedy piece comparing Thomas Derrick, Jack Robinson and Dr. Guillotine (three well known names that have become common parlance) and playing ˝guess the villain˝with the audience.

Both the Artman English London shows buzzed with humor and elan, and the packed house at the Grosvenor roared their appreciation, just as we like our Artman audiences to do.

Also performing were: Danna Solomon & The All Star Band, giving it a tequila tip; Steve and Tomato, spinning folkloric yarns on frets of guitars; The Slurps, keeping us honest; The Moonshark, launching from deep within his subconscious; IDIOT, reading the poo runes; Henry AK Smith, connecting with the divine whilst reclining with a face full of chocolate eclairs; AcidHeadZ, Artman's most venerable VJ /DJ/every-which-way-J; and Ross Connell and his irascible guitar.

What a great way to party!  Thanks to you all.
